The 2006 version of the Indian Weblog Awards - Indibloggies 2006 - is here and nominations for 16 award categories are open until 5th February, 2007.

At stake are prizes worth more than Rs 85000, including a ‘custom-made India Uncut Cow’ from Amit Varma, last year’s winner in the ‘Indiblog of the Year‘ category.

So, if you want to be a part of Indibloggies 2006, don’t wait. Nominate a blog (or your blog, or this blog), read about the jury, become a sponsor, or ask Amit what makes India Uncut tick.

We have been having a lot of blogger meets (and blogger-heavy parties) in Mumbai of late and it has been a lot of fun to hang out with Amit (here and here), Saket (here and here), Akshay, Manish (here), Shiju (here and here), Melody (here, here and here), Sakshi (here and here), Ideasmith (here and here), Divya (here) and the lovely eM (here), amongst others. However, all these parties have been ‘By Invite’ only and who we invite, of course, is limited by who we know.

Now, Melody and Sakshi are organizing an Open Bloggers Meet at Bandra on February 3rd and everybody is invited (the very creative invite designed by the very talented Melody) -

While the two lovely ladies are reason enough to land up, Ash, Peeyush, Pensive Lawyer, Pragni and Sensorcaine, seem to be attending, apart from the usual suspects listed above.
