		<description>@Balaji: As per my understanding, Google's PageRank and Technorati's Authority are both based on similar factors, including the number of incoming links. Incoming links are the very currency on the web and I'll be careful before dismissing any search engine that uses them to sort results. That said, while Technorati has worked for me quite well, maybe I should also spend some time on Google Blog Search before I dismiss is offhand. :-)</description>

		<description>I believe the other way round. IMO Technorati sucks big time in identifying relevant information, as it is sorted timewise (I could nt find a easy way to switch to relvance sorting as google does) and the authortiy tagging was not pretty impressive (any group of 10 people could have a lot of links among them and make them "authoritative"). Google's blog search was bad initially, but for the last one year I found it much more superior and its been a while since I used or cared about Technorati for both searching other's blogs and indexing my own blogs.</description>
