Google has officially announced its entry into TV ads via a partnership with DISH satellite broadcaster EchoStar (CNet via Mashable). Advertisers will use the AdWords interface to bid on spots, which will be targeted by demographic groups, regions and programs based on data from set-top boxes. Looks like Google’s offline AdWords agenda is finally off the ground.
